Although, my ideas aren’t always the best. In high school, my best friends and I frequented this ice cream place called “Dairy Mat” which served miniature ice cream cones for $0.25.
Our obsession with the mini-cones reached the height where we convinced the owners to invest in t-shirts with the Dairy Mat name and logo proclaiming that everyone would buy one.
We did, but by the end of the summer season, the shirts were going at a deep discount…

Milena – Your story was so funny! Thanks for sharing. I feel the same way about some of my favorite spots, but I’m sure not everyone is a fanatical as me.. ;)
Anyway, thanks so much for your sweet thoughts. Taking good photographs has a lot to do with the composition, I think. I tend to see triangles in all my photos. This pattern is obvious in some of my photos, and not so obvious in others.
The other things I do is to think about the “honesty” of the shot.. I feel that just by thinking of how I can make the shot more honest, then I come up with something interesting.
Also, I’m really conscious of light and dark values, the balance or imbalance of the shot, and how your eye will travel around the photo. That comes from the art classes I’ve taken, but I’m not sure about the rest :)
