So pretty! I love snow as it’s falling, before it turns all brown and dirty. There is something so peaceful about an undisturbed snow.

These two photos and your title of “The beginning of 6-12 inches” make me wonder where they put all that snow once it’s cleared off the steps.

@ Duchess of Kickball – Agreed. It was so peaceful and quiet last night. This morning the snow globe is all shook up ; )

@ Mark W – I was wondering the same thing! I feel like these steps will soon be wildly dangerous : )

I am hoping this means I will be stuck in San Francisco!

These pics give me a peaceful feeling like spending late quiet nights in Kendall Square in Cambridge after seeing a couple indie films. I love modern buildings and snow :-)

Pretty. If only snow didn’t come with offensive cold.

    @ Jenny – But it’s so pretty here ; )

@ JR Moreau – Likewise. I think the contrast between modern buildings and snow is great. Thanks for the comment!

@ Brad – Yes. Although it wasn’t that cold here today… or maybe I’m just too used to it ; )

I wish snow here looked like that instead of black ice, which it transforms into before you have a real chance to see snow.

What type of camera are you using?

  • http://modite.com/blog Rebecca Thorman

@Tiffany – That sounds dangerous – is that because of pollution?

@ Average Joe – My camera is a Nikon D40. I love it!

I was happy to see those photos when I read the title. I was worried.
