When I was designing my condo, I kept coming back to these as sources of inspiration, but what I was really in love with was the Saarinen Armchairs which I still don’t have… particularly love them in that plum color.

These are some of favorite all-time interior shots. They are very reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s interiors, but devoid of the layering of applied pattern. I don’t know the source of these photos any longer (although I believe they probably came from Domino Magazine), so if you do, please let me know!
Recognition for Ms. Herrera came a few years after her husband’s death, at 98, in 2000. “Everybody says Jesse must have orchestrated this from above,” Ms. Herrera said, shaking her head. “Yeah, right, Jesse on a cloud.” She added: “I worked really hard. Maybe it was me.”

If you can still read a traditional clock face, these would be great for an office or hallway. While a white wall would be a sufficient home, since the color goes all the way to the edges, hanging it on a complimentary-colored wall would really make a statement.

Oh wow, I adore this print by Jessica Snow. From the artist:
“My works on paper speak to the relationship between the improvisation and immediacy of gestural drawing and the materiality and meticulous planning of painted form. In this dialogue, the work addresses one of the conundrums of existence: the desire for freedom and spontaneity as well as for routine and order. The mind constantly strives to reconcile these opposing states and swings back and forth, desiring one, then desiring the other.”
That is so completely me.

I used to collect bears when I was little. It was crazy insane how many bears fit into my room. Nowadays, there isn’t want cute little button nose to be seen in my place. I like this print as a compromise though – harkens back to my old collection, but is modern enough to fit my new life. Even if it is a print for kids.

These remind me of the Renaissance… although they would be categorized entirely punk cute these days.

Isn’t this the best map ever? The lines for the streets have been taken out leaving only the typography of the streets (click on it to see larger version).
