Because you’ll learn something. And that is worth something.
Charging for content in a web full of free information is not for the faint of heart. Nonetheless, I want to raise expectations. Charging for this blog means we both have a responsibility, as reader and writer, to each other.
Many blogs turn to advertising to support their journeys, so many in fact, that the web page has become a veritable Las Vegas strip, flashing lights and all.
While other sites have a responsibility to advertisers, Kontrary has a responsibility to the reader. As such, I will consistently deliver a content experience that is highly-crafted, curated and cared for.
The idea isn’t without precedent (letter.ly and Kickstarter are built on similar models), but it is unfamiliar. So, you can cancel your subscription at any time – there’s no risk.
But I’m making a bet that you won’t need to. I’m betting you’ll love and learn a lot on this blog. And that’s my commitment to you.
